What Toastie is

Toastie is a fictional character: a corgi puppy in a slice of toast, with an account on X at @heytoastie. He exists to be cute and to make jokes about mornings — snoozed alarms, coffee, breakfast, and the phone you checked before water — and, at most twice a day, about something a famous person did in public (see Roasts of public figures).

He is an AI, not a person. He is not a company, a service, a financial product, or an adviser. Nothing he says should be read as anything other than entertainment.

How he works

Everything Toastie writes is generated by an AI model that follows a character guide: his voice, what he talks about, and what he never talks about.
On X, his everyday posts go out on a schedule and his replies to people who tag him are automated; neither is read by a human first. His roasts of famous people are the exception: a human approves each one before it is posted.
The people who built him set those rules, keep an eye on how he behaves, and can pause or stop him at any time. He has no goals of his own and no ability to act beyond posting on X. He never asks anyone for money, keys, recovery phrases, or personal information.
He does not read direct messages and does not track you. What he can see, and what is kept, is described under Privacy.
Automated text can be wrong, strange, or out of date. Treat everything he says as a joke by a cartoon corgi, because that is what it is.

Roasts of public figures

At most twice a day, Toastie teases a public figure — a founder, an investor, a celebrity — usually about their very public morning routine. The same person is roasted at most once a month.
A roast is a joke about something they did, or are known for doing, in public. It is comedy and opinion, not a statement of fact about anyone. The rules are stricter here than anywhere else: never their looks, age, health, family, relationships, sexuality, beliefs, or origins; never an accusation of wrongdoing; never politics; never money.
Every roast is written with the help of AI and approved by a human before it is posted.
None of the people he roasts is affiliated with Toastie or this project, and none of them has endorsed, sponsored, or been paid for anything. Being roasted is not an endorsement, and neither is replying.
If you are the person in a roast — or you represent them — and want it taken down, or want to be left out from now on, tell us (see Contact). We will delete the post and not roast you again.

If you're going through something hard

Toastie is a cartoon corgi. He can't help with anything serious, and he knows it. If you're thinking about suicide or self-harm, or you're in crisis, please reach a real person now:

If you or someone else is in immediate danger, call your local emergency number.

How he handles it: if a message to him mentions suicide, self-harm, or someone being in danger, he stops joking, answers kindly and briefly, and points to the resources above. He does not give medical or mental-health advice and does not try to talk anyone through a crisis himself. He never produces content that encourages self-harm, and he never produces sexual content.

PFP Studio and your photos

The PFP Studio is a photo editor that runs entirely in your browser. It composes Toastie's approved artwork (a transparent cutout of the original illustration) over a photo you choose, and exports a PNG you download yourself. It is not an AI image generator — nothing is generated.
Your photo is opened by your browser and drawn on a canvas on your device. It is never uploaded, stored on a server, or shared. The page is served with a security policy that forbids it from making network requests, so it cannot send your photo anywhere even by mistake.
Nothing from the Studio is kept between visits: no photos, no exports, no drafts. Reloading the page starts fresh.
"Share on X" opens X's own post composer with a suggested caption you can edit. It does not post for you, does not attach your image, and does not touch your profile. On phones that support it, "Share image" hands the exported picture and caption to your phone's share menu; where it goes from there is your choice.
The Studio needs no account, wallet, or login, and never asks for one.

The site may change or go offline, and the account may stop, at any time and without notice.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, the individuals and entities who build, operate, or contribute to Toastie are not liable for any loss or damage — direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or otherwise — arising from your use of, or reliance on, this site, the account, or anything either of them says. This includes, without limitation, any financial loss.
If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest still applies.

Not financial advice

Nothing on this site or the account is financial, investment, trading, legal, tax, or any other kind of professional advice.
Nothing here is a recommendation, an offer, or a solicitation to buy, sell, or hold any asset, token, security, or product.
Toastie does not analyse markets, prices, or projects, and isn't allowed to. If he ever appears to, that is an error — not a signal.
Always do your own research and speak to a qualified professional before making any financial decision. Never make one because of a corgi.
Admins never DM first, and nobody from the project will ever ask for a private key, a recovery phrase, or a payment.

About any token

This website does not issue, sell, distribute, list, or hold any token, and nothing on it is an offer to do so.
If a contract address is ever associated with Toastie, it will be published on this site first, so you can check any address you were shown elsewhere against it, character for character. An address in a DM, a reply, a look-alike site or anywhere else is not ours, however official it looks.
Crypto assets are highly volatile and can lose all of their value. They may be unregulated, restricted, or illegal where you live. Whether to hold any is entirely your own decision and your own risk.
There are no giveaways, airdrops, or rewards running. If that ever changes, the official rules will be published on this site first. Anything claiming otherwise is a scam.
The project does not pay anyone to recommend or talk up a token. If it ever pays for promotion, the promotion will say so.

AI-generated content

Everything Toastie says is generated by an AI model. His everyday posts and replies on X are published automatically, without a human reading them first; his roasts of famous people are approved by a human first.
It may be inaccurate, incomplete, offensive, or outdated, and it does not represent the views of the people who built him.
If something he said is harmful or wrong, tell us (see Contact) and we will look into it.
Don't rely on him for facts. He's toast.

Intellectual property

The Toastie name, character, artwork, and the text on this site belong to the Toastie project. Please don't use them commercially, or pass them off as your own, without permission.
Screenshots, quotes, and fan art for non-commercial fun are welcome. Credit @heytoastie.
X and any other names mentioned are trademarks of their respective owners. Mentioning them doesn't imply any affiliation or endorsement.

Privacy

We run no visitor analytics or advertising scripts. The site sets no cookies and keeps no accounts, forms, or visitor databases. The PFP Studio processes photos on your device only (details above).
To remember that you've accepted these terms, the site keeps one small entry in your browser's local storage, named toastie-terms, holding the date of the terms you agreed to. It is not a cookie and is never sent anywhere. To reset it — and see the notice again — clear this site's data in your browser settings, or visit in a private window. The notice also comes back by itself whenever these terms change.
Like any website, the site is delivered by a hosting provider, which processes your IP address and request details to serve the pages and protect against abuse, under its own privacy policy.
It loads its typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser requests those files from Google's servers. That means Google receives your IP address and standard request details, under Google's own privacy policy.
On X, Toastie reads public posts that tag him, so he can decide whether to reply. Those posts are sent to our AI provider to write a reply. He does not read direct messages. Anything you do on X is also governed by X's terms and privacy policy.
We don't sell or share anything about you, and we don't use it for advertising. Beyond what's listed here, we don't hold anything about you.

Changes

These terms may be updated as Toastie grows. The date at the top of this page says when they last changed. Continuing to use the site or the account after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Contact

The people behind Toastie read the mentions of @heytoastie on X. For a request — a roast you want taken down, being left out of roasts, a harmful answer, a legal or privacy question — tag @heytoastie and say what you need, using a word like "remove", "request", "privacy", or "legal" so it isn't read as a joke. Requests like that are flagged to a human, not answered by the corgi. There's no email address or contact form yet.
